Few things hold a greater place in my heart than the cherished plaster casts of my daughters’ tiny hands from years ago. These casts symbolize the beginning of our story, which dates back to around 2001 when my first daughter was born. At that time, the concept of creating such casts was considered “impossible” in South Africa. However, after three years of dedicated research, trial, and error, this concept became a reality, starting with the first cast of my second daughter.
To this day, those initial casts hold a special place on my desk, and I find myself gazing at them every day. They evoke a flood of emotions within me and serve as a constant reminder of the precious moments we shared.
